Channel 5 to launch two new channels on Freeview

Channel 5 is to launch new Five US and Five Life channels on Freeview. Five US will feature "American drama, comedy, films, sport and youth programming", and Five Life will include "drama, films, soaps, popular factual and lifestyle programming".

Channel 5 will be launching the new channels on Freeview first, as a result of purchasing bandwidth from pay-TV operator Top-Up TV, and it plans to launch the channels on satellite and cable later.
