| DAB+ unveiled as name for the upgraded DAB system15th February 2007 Following this website using the name 'DAB+' to refer to the new DAB standard for about the last year, WorldDMB has officially unveiled 'DAB+' as being the name for the upgraded version of the DAB system that includes the AAC/AAC+ audio codec and Reed-Solomon error correction coding. I think it's the best name for the new standard because it's in keeping with the names 'AAC+' and 'DRM+', which are each extensions/enhancements to the AAC and DRM standards, respectively, and also because it's easy for consumers to understand what the '+' means.
