The worldwide rollout of DAB+ and its additional audio codec (AAC/AAC+) looks closer than ever as a result of an announcement by Factum Electronics of Sweden that it is supplying new DAB+ audio encoders to Commercial Radio in Australia, TELEKO in the Czech Replubic, T-Systems in Germany, and RTL 102,5, Club DAB Italia and another network operator in Italy. In other countries, Factum expects that where transmissions are currently still in the trials phase, the full public service will be launched using DAB+. Factum mentions, specifically, China, India, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Malta and Malaysia."
