Dutch public broadcasters plan about 50 Internet radio channels

17th November 2005

Quoting from the medianetwork.blogspot website:

"The Dutch public broadcasters are planning to launch about 50 Web radio channels in the next few years, according to budgetary plans recently published. Several of the broadcasters are already active with Web radio, but each uses its own technical platform. Now NOB Cross Media Facilities has offered to provide a single platform to be used by all the broadcasters, and a budget has been allocated for the opening of numerous "thematic channels" on the Internet."
