E4 to Join Freeview Next Month

E4 and E4+1 are to joint Freeview from next month. E4 is currently part of the Top-Up TV subscription package, but Channel 4 think that they will earn more money from advertising by being free-to-air on Freeview than they earn in subscription money by being on Top-Up TV. Channel 4 plan to launch E4 on Freeview prior to this year's series of Big Brother.

E4+1 is also launching on Freeview in the slot that is expected to be used for More4, which is launching in the Autumn. E4+1 is identical to E4 but delayed by one hour, hence the name.
