Emap Buy SRH for £391m

Emap have bought Scottish Radio Holdings for £391m. Emap already owned 27% of SRH and increased their offer of 1040p to 1088p per share for the remaining 73% which was accepted.

SRH owns 22 radio stations mainly based in Scotland as well as operating the local DAB multiplexes in Northern Ireland, Glasgow, Aberdeen, Ayr, Edinburgh, Dundee & Perth and Inverness.

Emap already operates virtually all of the local DAB multiplexes in the North of England, as well as owning a 50% share of CE Digital which operates the Manchester, London 1, and Birmingham DAB multiplexes.
