| Finland Switches off DAB2nd September 2005 Although Finland announced earlier this year that they were going to switch off their DAB network, according to a leading Scandinavian newspaper, DAB has now been switched off in Finland. Finland had one national and one regional DAB multiplex, covering a total of 40% of the population. Finland's public service broadcaster, YLE, are looking into using the more modern digital broadcast systems, DVB-H and DMB, instead. Their radio stations will continue to be transmitted on the digital TV platforms though.
