| ITV2 Goes Free-to-View (FTV) on Satellite22nd November 2004 ITV2, which was previously only available if you had a Sky subscription, changed last night to being FTV on satellite. FTV means that you don't need a Sky subscription, but it is still encrypted so you need a viewing card to watch it. For example, if you buy the "Freesat from Sky" package you would now be able to receive ITV2, whereas yesterday you wouldn't have been able to.
