| New Thomson DHD4000 Freeview Twin-Tuner PVR3rd June 2004 Although a little pricey at £227, it's good to see another twin-tuner Freeview PVR on the market. This Thomson receiver has a 40 GB hard drive compared to the 20 GB hard drive in the Pace Twin Freeview receiver (~£190), so it's worth the extra £40 or so to get one with a bigger hard drive, because 20 GB will only allow you to record about 10 to 15 hours of TV. Alternatively, the Fusion twin-tuner Freeview PVR has a similar spec to this Thomson receiver, but is £10 cheaper. Unless you're desperate to get a twin-tuner Freeview receiver, then you'd be better off waiting until the run-up to Christmas or the January sales because if what I've read on electronics websites is correct, there should be quite a few more digital TV receivers with hard drives released in the second half of the year, so with more competition the prices should drop.
