| Ofcom Publish Sham Radio Consultation15th December 2004 Ofcom have published their radio consultation, which seeks views on, amongst other things: "Ofcom also seeks the views of industry and the public on the likely demand for additional nationally-allocated spectrum for DAB , whilst recognising Digital One’s investment in digital radio as the current commercial national radio multiplex licensee." But, as can be seen in the following text (from page 6 of DVB Scene 11 (1.1 MB)): "On 28 February 05, all administrations will send their requirements (coverage areas, number of channels, type of service, fixed, mobile, portable…) to the ITU." Ofcom have to send their requirements for spectrum to the ITU before this consultation closes on the 7th March! Therefore, this consultation is a sham, because the general public's views on DAB will not be taken into consideration by Ofcom before they send off their spectrum requirements to the ITU. Typical.
