Philips DTR500 Freeview Receiver Now Available

Philips' replacement for their DTR1500 receiver, the DTR500, is now available. 

The main difference between the new DTR500 and the DTR1500 is that the new receiver can receive the 7-day EPG. 

Main features of the DTR500:

• 7-day EPG
• 2 x SCART sockets
• Philips' "PulseKiller" technology to combat impulsive interference (e.g. caused by turning switches on/off)
• Digital audio output
• Phono analogue audio outputs

The DTR1500 also won the "Best Sounding" Freeview receiver in one of the hi-fi magazines, so it's likely that the DTR500 will sound good too.
