Set-top box manufacturers warn that Freesat might be delayed

Representatives from Philips and Goodmans have complained that the BBC and ITV haven't provided them with any specifications for set-top boxes for the launch of the free-to-air Freesat service planned for next year. The representatives warn that Freesat may be delayed until the run-up to Christmas 2006 -- instead of the planned "first half of 2006" -- unless the BBC and ITV provide them with some information about what kind of set-top boxes will be required.
