| Telewest plan to be first to offer HDTV15th November 2005 Telewest, who are merging with NTL, has promised to offer HDTV before Sky or the BBC, and plans to begin a trial next month. The service, called TV Drive, will cost about £10 - £15 per month extra, and users will receive a US-made HD-enabled PVR. Telewest are also offering a video-on-demand (VoD) service to users, called Teleport, and it plans to switch all of its users from analogue cable to digital by the end of next year.
