Viewers love HD on DTT trial

11th January 2007

The BBC has published the results from its DTT HD trial, and users seem to love the quality provided on HDTV.

It's very interesting to notice, however, that the BBC is very strongly trying to make the case in this document for HD to be transmitted on DTT; and while I fully support this, I have to say that this shows how incredibly hypocritical and self-serving the BBC is, because this is the exact opposite of what they have done with DAB, which, let us not forget, was meant to be the equivalent of HD on the radio, and yet the BBC has managed to make all of its stations on DAB sound far worse than on FM while dishonestly promoting DAB as providing better quality.
