WorldSpace Satellite Digital Radio to launch in Italy

Satellite digital radio operator, WorldSpace, has announced that it is going to launch a new subscription-based digital radio service in Italy providing 50 channels. The service will be the first satellite digital radio service to launch in Europe, and it follows on from the launch of satellite digital radio in the US and Canada, where XM Radio and Sirius Satellite Radio have proved to be successful and popular with listeners.
